At Happy Days Kindergarten we maintain the ratio of adults to children that is set through Ofsted’s Welfare Requirements. These ratios are 1:8 for three year olds and 1:4 for two year olds. We usually have at least one additional member of staff present, this helps us to give time and attention to each child, talk with the children about their interests and activities, help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide and allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety.
We are proud that our Practitioners are all Paediatric First Aid trained and there is a deep committment within the team to ongoing professional learning and development. We have a very low turnover of mature staff who are mothers to their own families. We also work with local schools to offer Level 2 & Level3 childcare qualification apprenticeships.
I was born in France and was educated at school in both France and Tahiti. I learned to speak English whilst in New-Zealand.
When I finished my eductaion I worked in Switzerland for 7 years.
I arrived in London in 1989 and began working as a nanny.
I am now married and have 2 older children.
I hold a Cache level 3 Diploma in Pre-school practice. I am paediatric First Aid trained and have an Enhanced DBS.
I started my career in Childcare when I had my first son who is now 15 years of age, before that I worked in accounts. I became a childminder in 2001 and in 2005 my husband John registered with Ofsted. In 2011 the previous owner of Happy Days asked if John and I would like to purchase the Kindergarten. All 3 of our children have attended Happy Days so we were delighted to be given the chance to put back what Happy Days had given our family.
I currently hold a EDI Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce (Early Learning and Childcare). Fully Paediatric First
Aid cerficated and Enhanced DBS.
