Happy Days Kindergarten was first introduced to St John's Church over 20 years ago and has been under the management of Jane and John Cannon since 2011. We were kindly asked to purchase Happy Days once the previous owner was approaching retirement.  We had already established ourselves in the local community with our successful home childcare business since 2000, so this seemed a natural progression.  With our own growing family of 3 children and all our minded children our house and garden was becoming to feel smaller each day, so after careful consideration we took the plunge and have never looked back. 

 

Happy Days staff turn around is very low, all the staff were all inherited in 2011 with over 10 years of excellent working relationships with a few new faces making Happy Days lovely positive working environment.   Most of the staff are local and still continue happy relationships with the children and their families once they have transitioned on to primary school.

 

In November 2014 we received our first Ofsted inspection and gained a 'Good' rating which we and the team were thrilled with.  Happy Days kindergarten has an intimate family village feel with excellent practitioner to child ratios. We accept no more than 30 children per session  whilst accepting children throughout the year at the start of each term. 

 

In 2016 after lots of community fundraising, St John's church unveiled their new community halls.   At last Happy Days had a new home and brilliant facilities for each child to benefit from.  We now have excellent facilities from tiny toilets and wash basins, large amazing free flow garden and a light and airy main room, everything needed to make each child more independent.

 

The kindergarten is set up everyday to give your children confidence and familiarity in choosing resources/equipment. The activities change daily to give children variety throughout the week.  Children are encouraged to make their own choices and be independent little learners. 

 

Happy Days kindergarten is the perfect environment for your child to start their independent learning, we aim to give your children the confidence and courage to build secure relationships with other children and adults.  It is important for children to spread their wings and what better place than doing it in a safe, secure, happy and stimulating environment.
